WHAT DO WE DO?
Mobi International is a distributor of the world renowned Dechamp’s Mobi-Mat® range of mobility access mats. Designed and manufactured in France using state of the art technology, the Mobi-Mat® range provides easy to set up accessibility solutions to national parks, coastal and ski resorts, recreational beach access organisations, emergency support organisations and civil engineering companies globally.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO WE PROVIDE?
Mobi International products include semi-rigid and stable roll-out pathways, roadways, boat ramps and helipads, along with the seamless windbreak Mobi-Fence. As well as protecting grounds and coastal assets, the Mobi International range provides accessibility and mobility on unstable land including sand, snow, swamp, gravel and mud.
WHO'S IN OUR FAMILY?
Mobi International is a sister company to disability equipment provider, Push Mobility and the Australian charity organisation, Accessible Beaches . Founder Shane Hryhorec has been instrumental in the transformation of beaches around Australia. Working with councils and surf life saving clubs he has rolled out over 3km of Mobi-Path on over 50 beaches, creating stable and accessible pathways on the sand for people with disabilities, as well as parents with strollers, the elderly and beachgoers.
WHY DO WE WORK WITH DESCHAMPS?
With more than 150 years experience Deschamps is the world leader in tactical mobility. They were founded in 1860 in Europe and have a long history of developing and manufacturing ground mobility equipment. The Deschamps portable Mobi-mat® range was originally designed for U.S. Marines Corps vehicular beach landing operations and has been used extensively worldwide.
MEET OUR TEAM
Shane Hryhorec:
Managing Director, Shane Hryhorec, is an entrepreneur and passionate advocate for people with disabilities. Shane grew up in South Australia participating in many sports including football, swimming and triathlons. In 2007, Shane broke his neck and drowned in a swimming pool accident. He spent five days in a coma, his life as he knew it changed forever. Shane chose to see this as an opportunity to develop a business that could help improve equality for people with disabilities. His mission in life and in business is to educate society about inclusivity and improve accessibility. Since founding his first company Push Mobility - one of the leading manual wheelchair providers in Australia, Shane has helped develop the successful charity Accessible Beaches and is also Managing Director of Mobi International.
Matt Carr:
Matt is the company's Warehouse and Freight Manager. He thoroughly enjoys his time at Mobi International and values the lessons he's learning from working with such passionate, inspiring and hardworking colleagues and clients. When he is not working Matt can usually be found playing golf or watching golf videos. His other hobbies include football, cycling, travelling and just hanging out with family and friends.
Emma Walsh - Office Manager
Emma joined in December 2021 as Office Manager. Originally from New Zealand, Emma has lived in Melbourne for the past 4 years with a background in studying Art Curatorship at the University of Melbourne. Emma’s professional life has taken her across the world for work, including London. With a strong passion and love for working in community-minded organisations.
James Rizio:
James is passionate about accessibility throughout his role as Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. Graduating university in 2017, James has a background in Freelance Graphic Design but wanted to shift into the world of Marketing. In this role James manages social media posts on Mobi products. James also works with our sister company Push Mobility.
